Venture is constantly meeting the demands of our clients for the highest quality of game tables. From Mexico to Dubai, Venture Games is no stranger to the international market. And with our latest project, we are continuing our way across the globe!
Venture Games has invaded Northern Europe! For the first time in Venture’s history, we collaborated with Major Town on an unprecedented order of 20 Venture shuffleboard tables, to be sent to Oslo, Norway. They wanted the finest and knew Venture Games was their clear choice.
Venture Game tables are handcrafted in our shop, just outside of Atlanta, Georgia; by master craftsman. It took approximately 8 weeks to coordinate and build 20 tables. With fingers crossed for good weather, a container was loaded in record time with tables, corn hole and Venture swag to boot. We said goodbye and the container made its long trek across the North Atlantic Ocean to its final destination in Oslo, Norway.
With any new collaboration, you want to make sure everything goes smoothly; for this reason, Chris and I flew to Oslo to meet with Major Town and oversee installation of the shuffleboard tables in a new, sure to be hot, bar Røør located in the heart of Oslo. This also gave us the opportunity to offer valuable training and explanation of why and how a Venture shuffleboard plays. This was done for the core team of technicians and sales people who will be brining Venture to the Norwegian people.
Ten 22- foot and four 18-foot Grand Deluxe shuffleboard tables were carefully unloaded by a team of 9. Oh, did I mention that they were being carried up to the 2nd floor of a building built in the 19th century? No modern day loading elevator here! It took half a day for the team to bring everything up the angled, mahogany staircase. The team was relentless in moving the tables from the street to their final home upstairs.
Once the boxes were up, the fun began! Chris worked with the technicians over the next 2 days, to ensure that each table was properly assembled and the climatic adjusters were fitted for the most level playfield.
Once installation of 6 tables was complete, it was time to show our new friends how to play on a Venture table. It was a beautiful sight to see! After a long day of work, it was time to crack open a beer, celebrate with our friends and toast their continued success! Chris showed some of his tricks on shooting the rail from both sides along with his spin and hooking it into the scoring zone.
We couldn’t be happier about our introduction in Norway! With Venture’s 20th anniversary on the horizon, Chris and I are beaming with pride over our most recent “venture”.
