In Palms, near Woodbine Park, off Motor Avenue you’ll come across an American tapas restaurant/bar that may come across very misleading based on it’s name, however, a biker bar this is not. With a Happy Hour Mondays through Friday from 4-7, televised sports, excellent food, and game tables, such as table tennis and shuffleboard; this place has the perfect formula to make us very happy. In particular, the mac n cheese and garage burger along with a Firestone Pale 31 after a victorious match of shuffleboard made the perfect start to an evening.

Play Shuffleboard at Hermosillo in Los Angeles

The Hermosillo

In North Los Angeles we found another tapas bar in Highland Park off York Avenue known as the Hermosillo Club. The Herm was an excellent place spread out in their over-sized booths and enjoy some parmesan polenta cubes and fried brussels sprouts….that’s right I said fried brussels sprouts! And as you’re playing shuffleboard you can be amused by the herds on confused patrons as they try and understand why there’s a game that involves a hook on the wall and a washer on a string.

The Daily Pint

Get to Santa Monica near Sunset Park off Pico Boulevard and you’ll find the Daily Pint…..and then you’ll be completely satisfied. With 33 beers on tap, 3 casks beers, and 100+ bottled beers in house, this pub would be a dream come true to any beer snob coming from the East coast, but this beer snob in particular was equally impressed by the variety games they offered, such as: billiards, foosball, and of course, shuffleboard! Downfall, they don’t serve food? HA menus all over the place for places that deliver to the Daily Pint!

The Wellesbourne

Following along a similar trend to the The Daily Pint, The Wellesbourne is more of a lounge than a bar. This is the type of place that you would go out with your best mates dressed to the nines to enjoy some classic libations and surround yourself with intellectuals while enjoying games such as foosball and shuffleboard, because even a true gentlemen participates in gentleman sports. Also, much like the Pint, the Wellesbourne does not serve food either, however, there are several nearby tasty establishments, we recommend Wokcano for some excellent sushi.

Villians Tavern

Lastly, if you find yourself downtown, in what’s considered the art district, get on Palmetto Street off Mateo Street and get to Villains Tavern, preferably towards the end of the week and late night. The scene is great, there’s live music, and they serve drinks in mason jars….just like mama serves ‘em in back home. Upstairs you’ll find a shuffleboard table that has seen better days (maybe they should buy our Savannah model, it suits the place) but it was still fun to see all the people around it having a good time.
